According to the previous owner, the Oatman General Store is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year (2008). Originally the store was called Central Commercial and sold everything from groceries to building materials and blasting powder for the mines. During the Gold Rush Days there were approximately 10,000 people living in the Oatman area and Central Commercial was their main source for what they needed to survive.
